Teen Court is a pre-diversion program where trained volunteers hear misdemeanor cases of youth defendants. There are teen volunteers that assumed the role of attorneys, bailiffs, clerks, and jurors. Local judges and attorneys serve as Teen Court judges. This is a great opportunity for youth to learn more about the legal system and allows youth defendants the chance to avoid having their case heard in juvenile court.
Teen Court is now accepting volunteers! If you are interested in serving as a volunteer, please email hokecountyteencourt@gmail.com or call (910) 987-7639.
The upcoming Teen Court Schedule will be posted soon!
